Project Give Aloha’s mission is to bring volunteers to help the people of Maui while on island as well as showing you ways to help after you leave. The trip is mixed with volunteer experiences, Hawaiian culture, island experiences, our Ohana (family) on island and our love for Lahaina.

Our goal is for you to fall in love with the island, our Ohana, and their cause so you will want to keep coming back and supporting in any way you can while they rebuild from this heartbreaking disaster. For them, this has only just begun…

Welcome to Project Give Aloha

Hopefully you still remember that Lahaina Maui suffered a devastating fire in Aug of 2023 even though the news forgot them a week later. But trust me when I say, the people of the island have not even begun to forget about it!  The Project Give Aloha trip in March of 2024 was a huge success and extremely eye-opening. We helped many places only to find that there is so much more to be done. Before we even left the island we decided to come right back in Sept to continue helping.

Besides volunteering, one of the best things about the trip was camping! It added a huge layer of satisfaction on this trip. Open air showers with a mountain view…yes, please!

Yes, I said camped! Well, not really camped but glamped. We stay in tentalows at the beach with beds and a shower…not your typical camping situation. DO NOT let the camping portion stop you from this trip. The tents turned out to be most of the travelers favorite part…even those that were very apprehensive! It also allowed us the luxury of being together in the mornings and evenings and not locked down in our hotel rooms. Really, really great experience in the tentalows.

Yes, there are roosters onsite and yes they do their cock-a-doodle-doo but, you will get used to them real quick.

So…strap on your Aloha spirit and let’s head down to the island to do whatever we can to help. This trip will be filled with heartwarming volunteer opportunities as well as a very nice look at the island and its beauty. You will leave in forever love with the island and the people we help who become Ohana (family).

We will have daily volunteer outings while there which will be focused on what is needed most while we are there. We will help in any and every way we can while there, hoping we can do something with the keiki (children), as well as planting trees and helping with aina (land) restoration where we can. 

While there, we will also discover some of Maui’s best kept secrets. We will immerse you in culture, nature, scenery and plenty of free time to just enjoy the island vibes. Around every corner you’ll discover spectacular views and wide open spaces for soulful reflection and a deeper connection to nature. Sit back and soak in all the goodness Maui will provide you while helping.

PAYMENT PLAN OPTION – AVAILABLE UNTIL MAY 31, 2024

You have the option for a 4-part payment plan for this trip. The fee to do this payment plan is $199 and will be added into your initial deposit payment. By purchasing this trip via the payment plan option, you will be entering into and will be held to a contractual agreement to pay the trip in full even if you can not travel. We highly suggest the travel insurance that will be offered in your confirmation email.

AUTHORIZED PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Deposit charged upon booking is $800/double or $699/single plus a one time $199 non-refundable payment processing fee. The remaining balance for your trip will be charged to your card on file as follows:

    • Deposit – For a double booking $800 + $199 payment plan fee ($999) will be charged at time of booking. For single booking deposit will be $699 + the $199 payment plan fee ($898 total) .
    • Payment 2 – will be charged on June 15, 2024 (1/3 of remaining balance)
    • Payment 3 – will be charged on July 15, 2024 (1/2 of remaining balance)
    • Payment 4 – will be charged on Aug 15, 2024 (remaining balance)

*IN THE EVENT YOUR PAYMENT CAN’T BE PROCESSED, you will be contacted via email and will have the option to provide a different card or wire transfer the funds. If for some reason, payment is not received within 7 days after your payment due date, your room(s) will automatically cancel in our system, and you will be subject to the strict cancellation policy listed below. If you choose to make a payment prior to your payment date or you need to change your card information, please call accounting at 231-590-9600 to let us know.


CANCELLATION POLICY

  • 100% refundable the first 7-Days after booking
  • After the first 7-Days the package is 100% NON-refundable, no exceptions. You may sell the package and do a one time name change free of charge up until 30 days prior when the site change fees will apply at $150 per change.
  • All payment-plan cancellations will forfeit the $199 deposit for the processing fee.
  • We HIGHLY recommend the travel insurance that will be offered in your confirmation email.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, TERMS & COSTS

  • Airfare is NOT included in the trip price. Closest commercial airport Kahului Airport (OGG).
  • All flight submissions will be due by Sept 8, 2024.
  • There are roosters living at the camp and they can occasionally be noisy, but it doesn’t ruin your day.
  • It tends to be windy at Camp Olowalu so prepare accordingly and bring warm clothes in case it’s colder at night.
  • No food included unless noted. There is a farmers market across the street (walking) as well as a grocery store down the road that we will be visiting. We will create an itinerary that lets you know what days you need to get food for at camp. 
  • We will provide a list of “good things to bring” before arrival. 
  • All taxes and fees, as of your date of purchase, have been included. In the event taxes change or new taxes apply to your trip, you will be alerted and responsible for the difference.
  • A small booking/service fee, based on the total price of your trip, will be charged at checkout by our booking engine.
  • Gratuity is not included in your pricing so make sure to bring lots of 1’s, 5’s, 10’s and 20’s to tip the people along the way that make you smile, make your day, or just make it better!

COVID Policy

In the ever-changing landscape of COVID protocols here is our policy. All getaways will travel on their planned date unless the resort or the borders close. We have taken every precaution in setting up the best COVID agreements with our vendors to protect our clients. If an event/excursion is cancelled due to COVID, we will pass on whatever refund we obtain that is attributable to the Client. Client understands that traveling during the COVID pandemic comes with the inherent risk of date changes, cancellations and partial refunds. Client must cooperate with us in obtaining the refund, which may include the returning of any unused tickets etc. If this is unacceptable, Client may want to postpone travel until a more predictable time. If you do decide to travel we highly recommend opting for the travel insurance offered in your confirmation email. Travel is very unpredictable these days.
